Tiziano GrotesqueThis gorgeous mask is a classic “grotesque”, inspired from a painting of Tiziano, which he made for the School of Saint John the Evangelist in Venice. It's a face of a woman, slightly in pain, wearing a large veil which forms two odd-looking peaks falling around her neck in the shape of a neckpiece. She reminds of a Sybil, a figure from the old testament. A Tyrian purple painting with colored brush strokes, makes this mask look like made of Verona marble.
