The figure of the satyr is extremely important in the history of masks, because it is the very first mask, in the Christian tradition, to be used in sacred performances to represent the evil. The Satyr is the first mask ever used and ever documented, from which all "La Commedia dell'Arte" masks originated. This model is the result of several elaborate sketches and then created to perfectly fit the author face.
