This sculpture reproduces one of the most famous "presentation drawings" of Michelangelo - the drawings he intended to give away to special friends. It represents Cleopatra, the beautiful queen of Egypt, dressed in an exotic way, showing jewels and braided hair. It's a work of mysterious charm for it has been the subject of more studies than any other of his graphics, but still it cointains a secret, a hidden metaphor that had not yet been noticed. Guerrino Lovato turns the drawing into a sculpture adding a new meaning to this incredible piece of art.
